Paul Martin, violiste basé a Simorre et Londres, est autant à l’aise lors de grands concerts que dans le cadre intime de la musique de chambre.

Ancien membre du quatuor renommé, le Balanescu Quartet Paul a travaillé dans le monde entier, et s’est produit notamment au Royal Festival et au Royal Albert Hall de Londres, à l’Auditorio National de Music, de Madrid, au Center Arts de Melbourne, au palais du Sultan de Brunei, au Musikverein de Vienne et au Concertgebouw d’Amsterdam.

Paul Martin a étudié l'alto avec Nicolas Roth et Elizabeth Turnbull au Trinity College of Music.

Avec le Balanescu Quartet, il a enregistré plusieurs piéces pour la maison de disque ARGO, et a contribué de nombreuses bandes annonces de film tels que Le Seigneur des Anneaux, James Bond, Harry Potter, Le talentueux Mr Ripley….

Based in Simorre and London, violist Paul Martin is equally at home on the concert stage as well as in the intimate setting of chamber music.

A former member of the renowned Balenescu quartet, Paul toured throughout the world including appearances in royal festival and royal Albert halls in London, Auditorio national de music Madrid, arts centre Melbourne, sultan of Brunei palace, Musikverein , Vienna and Concertgebouw Amsterdam.

Paul studied viola with Nicolas Roth and Elizabeth Turnbull at Trinity college of music in London.

He has recorded extensively on the Argo label with the Balenescu quartet.

Paul has appeared in numerous well known film scores over the years including "Lord of the Rings", "James Bond", “Harry Potter" and "the Talented mr. Ripley".
